Michelle Schnider, a Los Angeles native, began playing the piano at the age of 7. She frequently participated in the Music Teacher Association of California's (MTAC) National Guild, earned the Certificate of Merit and performed in various recitals, as well as Honors and Bach Festivals.
Michelle received her Bachelors Degree from California State University, Northridge and a Masters Degree in Music Education from California State University, Los Angeles.
While pursuing her Masters, Michelle began teaching private piano and group programs at the Los Angeles Yamaha Music School and the Santa Monica Academy of Music.
After tuning her skills while working for established music schools, Michelle opened her own private studio. Her business has now grown to instruct a diverse set of clients of all ages, ethnicities and skill levels from all over Los Angeles. She is Orff-Schulwerk certified and teacher trained in Music Together. Michelle is also committed to continuing her own personal music education.
Lindsay McDonald
Piano/Voice Teacher
Lindsay McDonald moved to Los Angeles about 2 years ago after touring with the musical, 42nd Street. Lindsay has been playing piano for the past 15 years and teaching privately since 1998. She holds a B.F.A. from Penn State University where she earned scholarships and awards for her vocal performances. Lindsay has classical and contemporary training also from Carnegie Mellon University in New York. Her training stems from her musician grandparents whom she continues to receive advice from.
Marianthe Bezzerides
Piano Teacher
Marianthe Bezzerides began playing piano when she was five years old and later added violin and string bass to her performance background. She has a B.A. in Music from Loyola Marymount University and is finishing her Master's degree in Composition at California State University Long Beach. She has taught piano to students of many ages in both private and group settings, as well as music theory at the the University level. For the last three years, she has been writing music professionally and is excited to integrate composition into her lessons to enhance the student's overall learning experience.
Christy Carew Marshall
Piano/Voice Teacher
Christy Carew Marshall is a composer, pianist and music teacher who has been working in the LA area for four years. Christy writes for film, TV, commercials, multimedia and the concert world, while working as an accompanist and performer. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and Music Business from Loyola University New Orleans, and a Master of Arts in Film Scoring and Composition from New York University. She loves teaching, and is really excited to be with Little Maestros, bringing what made music so fun for her as a kid to a new generation.
Jenni Alpert
Guitar Teacher
Jenni Alpert is a professional performing and recording artist from Los Angeles. She holds a B.F.A. from UCLA's Ethnomusicology department and has been teaching private guitar lessons ranging from all ages for over 8 years. "There is nothing more inspiring than watching a student develop their own musical talents and passions into life long relationships with music. Wherever they are interested start, I am willing to guide."
