Policies
- Tuition is to be paid in full for the entire month.
- Payment for the month is due by the 1st of the month. If the payment has not been received, the teacher will not show up for the lesson.
- There is a 24-hour cancellation policy. Students will be able to receive a credit or a make-up lesson if a lesson is cancelled 24 hours in advance. If a student does not cancel within 24 hours or is a "no show", the student cannot make-up the lesson and will be charged. There are no exceptions.
- Makeup lessons are based on mutual availability and not guaranteed.
- Little Maestros has the right to discontinue lessons, because of lack of interest, frequent absence or tardiness, behavioral problems or failure to abide by studio policies.
- Students should arrive on time with all materials. A tardy student has only the time remaining for the lesson period.
- Students are expected to have clean hands and trimmed nails at each lesson. Food, drink and gum chewing is not allowed in the studio. Water is permitted.
- If calling to cancel or with questions please call between the hours of 9AM and 9PM.
- Traditional holidays are observed.
Teacher Responsibilities
- Provide a well-balanced program of activities designed to build necessary skills to make the student a well-rounded musician at the keyboard.
- Provide weekly assignment sheets with suggestions for daily practice.
- Provide special activities to motivate students to extend themselves.
- Maintain open lines of communication with parents.
- Attend seminars, conventions, etc. to further musical growth.
Parent Responsibilities
- Establish, maintain and supervise a regular practice routine, free from distraction.
- Please be involved. Read over new assignments with your child. Call me at once with questions or problems.
- Provide a piano or keyboard in good condition.
- Support and encourage the student's endeavor.
- Maintain open lines of communication with the teacher. Call well in advance when the student must be absent.
- Arrange for the student to arrive a few minutes early.
Student Responsibilities
- Practice regularly and maintain daily minimum practice average for age and level. Follow assignment sheet carefully. Record the minutes practiced at each section.
- Come to lessons well prepared and ready to learn.
- Bring all necessary books and materials.
- Maintain appropriate behavior during lessons. A positive attitude helps accomplish more in less time.
